Transport Arrangements

One in three older people find it difficult to get where they want to go, particularly if they are without a car or find the bus difficult. Transport is vital to helping older people stay independent at home and active in their local communities – and we are here to help.

These may be trips to and from hospital or to a GP appointment. Equally, these may be trips to the shops or into town, journeys that enrich lives and really add to the pleasure of day-to-day living.

Your Personal Care

In order to fully understand your specific support needs – we will work closely with you, your family, General Practitioners and other professionals to identify the level of care required. Each personal care plan seeks to provide each client with a say in their care.

Cars & Minibuses

It’s especially important where mobility issues can make it difficult, if not impossible, for older people to use public transport and in rural areas with limited transport services. It’s cheaper than taking a taxi and local volunteers often become friends. Volunteers use a combination of their own cars or adapted vehicles or mini-buses, depending on the local area.
